This season, bring flowers into your home in a creative way. You can brighten up your home by creating paper flowers or getting the kids to draw a bunch and having them framed. The idea is to create a colourful picture, so if you are missing the artistic gene don't worry - abstract and abnormal is encouraged. You can even tell your friends you bought it!
Above, we have whipped up a quick and easy flower, painted with watercolour. The highlight of this peace, for us, is the negative space. As you can see, we did not need many tools for this task, all of which can be found at a local art store for minimal money. We set aside a fine paint brush (AQUA R "0"), Canson's watercolour paper and red and green watercolour paints. The trick is to layer the paint, with the encouragement of patience to let the paint dry in between.
